 TRAINING PROGRAMS

Our correspondence training programs include our binder with, NARIES  Standards of Practice,  Code of Ethics, complete directions for inspecting , inspection training forms, writing exercises, report samples for every section of NARIES Standards of Practice, checklists, formats, study guides, inspection pattern and procedures, cross reference report classifications, and much more. You will be shown what to inspect and how to write reports in the field on a repetitive form, or at the computer on a repetitive form, and create written narrative reports, following our easy writing classification format. Your ability will be  professional:  thorough and competent, and prepared to easily and properly communicate.

Because the program is a completely proactive, our module assignments require you to work with specific instructions, and perform home inspections, focusing on progressively detailed inspecting and reporting.  Your reference books and binder are your textbooks, and must be referred to at all times to gain the maximum benefit.

ASSIGNMENTS

The (16) modules contain  individual types of reports and report writing assignments, which are required for the certification test.
Focus is on reporting with the handwritten field form style of reporting,

Focus is on reporting with the lap top form style of reporting.
Focus is on reporting by narrative style of reporting

NOTE:

A complete Home Inspection Report follows the Standard format. It takes into consideration, quality, condition, age, maintenance, or lack of,  material quality, product quality, component analysis, details regarding structures, and life, health and safety issues. This is covered in the individual modules by reporting on the related deficiencies.

The full course includes the following materials.

1.) The A.R.I.E.S. Co., Course reference book and training binder. This binder contains Our Standards and Ethics, Glossaries, Checklists, Study Guides, Checkpoints and Focus Points for every section of NARIES Standards of Practice, an extensive collection of samples of all (4) types of  reports,                                                                                                                                                    2.) (13) Inspection training modules.
3.) Inspecting A House, by Rex Caldwell, The Taunton Press.
4.) Code Check, by Redwood Cardon, The Taunton Press.
5.) Additional pamphlets and study guides will be included throughout the course.

Discussion: A library is necessary for training and development of good inspection skills. Research is part of what educates you, and is an ongoing normal practice. It should include a variety of sources such as associations, books, the Internet, other individuals, seminars. etc..  Your knowledge comes from organized, inspecting experiences, with specific, educational experiences. Hence, our method of training requires combined field, office and research experiences. Every inspection using our format and theory of inspecting, with reference books, will allow you to learn the maximum from that experience, and increase your knowledge for future reference. You will learn a process, which is a method of inspecting and assembling reports. This should be a continuing training tool using a narrative form or full narrative style of reporting. It is our goal to start you off on the right foot with the least liability possible. This program will allow you to choose your methods of communicating either in writing, other forms, or your own style.

A list of additional books will be provided for your future use.

The goal is to get off on the right foot as a professional Home Inspector.
