Continuing Education Programs for Real Estate Professionals

The Program: Includes general inspection and assessing & FHA/HUD property review protocol. The opinion format which includes warnings and red flags will be described with examples. How to put the house in proper perspective will be discussed. Course will review NARIES, Standards of Practice, w/slides, videos, lectures and case studies. Program includes contributing conditions for, mold and pest problems, and EIFS, synthetic stucco.

The learning objective for the course titled, “The Examination & Inspection of Sites & Buildings" is to provide a review of objective inspection models for reports and opinions, a professional understanding of the inspection problems, using, “NARIES Standards of Practice”. This course experience provides an objective model for professional evaluation of Home Inspections and reports. These improve the Brokers and Agents knowledge, about what professional Home Inspections and reports should be in a Real Estate transaction and help reduce liability.

The following NARIES format for property reviews and opinions will be covered individually.

The Instructor:

The Instructor: Is Mike Pederson, an Architect, General Contractor ,and has been training Home Inspectors and Real Estate Professionals since 1992. With over 30 years in the building inspection industry, he strives to increase the relevant knowledge of Real Estate Professionals, and help improve their property review knowledge and skills. The seminar will provide models, guidelines and examples about hidden conditions, age, abuse, problems with construction and intrusion of water, moisture and humidity.

Mike will present HUD & FHA inspection protocol requirements covering deficiencies to denote including safety, security, and sanitation.

Admission: All Real Estate Professionals are admitted into this program for Continuing Education.

There are no course prerequisites for this program.

Termination by the school: The student may be terminated and dismissed without any refund upon concurrence of any of the following: a.) Failure to make any payment when due. b.) Failure to abide by the school conduct policies, including, but not limited to the prohibition of the use of drugs, drinking of alcoholic beverages, disruptive behavior, or excessive tardiness.

The student may retake the course at a later date providing the instructor and the school agrees.

Attendance: Attendance is taken twice a day, once at the beginning of the morning and once directly after lunch. Picture ID may be required. Students may retake the course for their certificate if they need to.

Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellations must be made (10) days before the first day of class in writing signed and post marked. Otherwise, the tuition is non refundable unless the instructor cancels the course, or the course for some unknown reason is not held. Refunds shall be within (30) days of the last day of the course. No-shows or cancellations by the student after (10) ten days are offered as a credit or they may sell their space with notification in writing and signed.

Records Maintenance and Retention: All records are retained and maintained for a period of (5) five years. Duplicate certificates shall be made available for a fee of ($25.00) Twenty five dollars, and requests sent with a certified bank check, drafts, money orders etc to the following address:
