The Examination
and Inspection of Sites and Buildings for Real Estate Appraisers

The
Program: Includes
general inspection and assessing &
FHA/HUD
property review protocol. The opinion format which includes warnings
and red flags will be described with examples. How to put the house in
proper perspective will be discussed. Course will review NARIES,
Standards of Practice, w/slides, videos, lectures and case studies. Program
includes contributing conditions for, mold and pest problems, and
EIFS,
synthetic stucco.

The Instructor:
Michael
Pederson, a trainer,
Architect, & Gen. Contractor, has been training Home Inspectors,
Appraisers and other Real Estate professionals since 1992. With over 37 years in the building review
& inspection industry, he strives to increase the
knowledge of Real Estate Appraisers, and help improve their property
review skills. The seminar will provide knowledge about age, abuse,
poor construction, water, moisture and humidity,
hidden
conditions, and how to maintain a complete factual record of your investigations. He
has developed this program for appraisers to help them do a
brief, intelligent visual review, confident that they have
done the best they can to provide a good opinion of what they
can see with limited time as well expectation.

will present HUD & FHA inspection protocol requirements
covering deficiencies to denote including safety, security, and
sanitation. Source

Admission:
All Real Estate Professionals
are admitted into this program for Continuing Education.
There are no course
prerequisites for this program.
Termination
by the school:
The student may be terminated and dismissed without any refund upon
concurrence of any of the following: a.) Failure to make any payment when due.
b.) Failure to abide by the school conduct policies, including, but not
limited to the prohibition of the use of drugs, drinking of alcoholic beverages,
disruptive behavior, or excessive tardiness.
The
student may retake the course at a later date providing the instructor and the
school agrees.
Attendance:
Attendance is taken twice a day, once at the
beginning of the morning and once directly after lunch. Picture ID may be
required. Students may retake the course for their certificate if they need
to.
Cancellation and Refunds:
Cancellations must be made (10) days before the first day of class in
writing and post marked. Otherwise, the tuition is non refundable unless the
instructor cancels the course or the course for some unknown reason is not held.
Refunds shall be within (30) days of the last day of the course. No-shows or
cancellations by the student after (10) ten days are offered as a credit or they
may sell their space with notification in writing and signed.
Records Maintenance and
Retention:
All records are retained and maintained for a period of (5) five years.
Duplicate certificates shall be made available for a fee of ($25.00) Twenty five
dollars, and requests sent with a certified bank check, drafts, money orders etc
